years in business In over 100 countries Job DetailsWe are immediately hiring for a Tool Room Supervisor for our facility in Hackettstown, NJIn this role, you will aid in the transformation of parts and raw materials into the company's products in a timely and cost-effective manner, managing resources to meet production targetsEnsuring continuous and efficient production operations in line with plans, procedures, and quality and safety standards and policiesYou will be reporting to the Sustaining Engineering Manager.
Your responsibilities for this position will include the following:
Supervise the fabrication of all molds, dies, and special tools required for production and special projects.
Review and resolve production tooling issues.
Document any tooling design changes and coordinate the repair and modification of tooling through Production and Engineering teams.
Estimate costs of manufacturing molds and tools as required.
Select and purchase tools, materials and equipment required for mold and tooling fabrication.
Interview & hire qualified Tool Room personnel as required to meet business needs.
Ensure each member of the department is equipped and trained to fulfil their respective responsibilities.
Monitor employee performance and share observations through annual performance reviews and real time feedback.
Drive a culture of safety and perform safety audit/reviews.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements for this position includes:
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 5 years of machining/tooling experience.
Experience in tool and mold making.
Supervisory and/or leadership experience.
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work in the US.
