We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) on a permanent basis with a flexible schedule.
This position offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic healthcare team and play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care within an assisted living setting.
The successful candidate will have a hands-on role in maintaining the health and well-being of our patients, many of whom are seniors.
Responsibilities:
1.
Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
This includes monitoring vital signs, administering medication, dressing wounds, and responding to patient needs promptly and compassionately.
2.
Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
3.
Ensure the comfort and safety of patients at all times, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility.
4.
Communicate regularly with patients and their families, providing updates on condition, treatment plans, and progress.
5.
Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records, documenting patient's healthcare plans and recovery.
6.
Assist with the training and supervision of less-experienced nursing or healthcare staff.
7.
Adhere strictly to all confidentiality regulations, patient rights, and medical ethics codes.
8.
Stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and best practices in the nursing field, participating in educational opportunities and professional development as needed.
Qualifications:
1.
A valid and current LPN license in the state of practice.
2.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in patient care, preferably within an assisted living or senior living facility.
3.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
4.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team, contributing to a positive, collaborative working environment.
5.
Strong clinical skills, with a solid understanding of patient care procedures and protocols.
6.
Ability to think critically and make decisions in high-stress situations.
7.
Physical stamina to work long hours and meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting and moving patients.
8.
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
