Quality Manager

Tasks: Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: o Develop and analyze statistical data and product/process specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability requirements for the finished product. o Develop and implement a Quality organizational structure capable of supporting the strategic initiatives of the plant and lead the efforts to integrate quality needs into the development of short and long range strategic business plans. o Provide Quality interface and expertise between the operation and its customers to proactively identify or anticipate their needs and expectations and ensure they are understood and satisfied. This includes the complaint management system (PARR) and the corrective/preventive action process related to customer issues, and the coordination of customer visits and audits. o Provide support to the Materials organization relative to the Supplier Quality Assurance activities of the operation as well as provide Quality interface, expertise and support to the organization's suppliers and partners. This includes the feedback of supplier performance to suppliers. o Provide expertise in Quality Assurance and process improvement tools and methods to the other functions of the organization to support them in their continuous improvement activities. o Study, investigate and recommend new or leading-edge technologies, methods, tools and procedures on the fields of quality assurance and continuous improvement to proactively address changes in the business environment. o Lead the initiatives of the operation in the development, implementation and improvement of the appropriate Quality Management Systems throughout the organization, with all the documentation required. This includes providing advanced quality planning support in the development and launch of new products, processes and services. o Lead the internal Quality System Audit program for the organization and manage the corrective action system in conjunction with the management review process. o Analyze key organizational quality metrics and perform periodical reviews to evaluate results and establish action plans to close the gaps. o Manage the performance and provide career development opportunities to all the employees within the quality function of the organization. o Design and implement quality assurance training programs for key personnel in conjunction with other managers of the organization. Conduct and/or coordinate training in quality-related topics throughout the organization. o Manage the expenses of the Quality organization in support of the business objectives. Requirements: Basic Qualifications: o Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, product engineering or quality assurance. Preferred Qualifications: o Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technical and 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, product engineering or quality assurance. o A demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance and continuous improvement methods, approaches and tools, including strategic planning and project management. o Preferred Training: Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Project Management, Quality Management System, Interpersonal Communications and Leadership Skills Development. o Recommended Credentials: ASQ Certified Quality Manager - CQM or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer - CQE. o Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
